Currently up to 2.10.8 not 2.10.12 yet) level 2 1 point 1 year ago My experience with Partha regarding GMIC was not good. It was far slower than my current install, which was done from the GIMP installer available on gimp.org and the GMIC plug-in for GIMP available here. Go down the folders until you get to contentresourceslibgimp2.0 plug-ins. Drag the unzipped GMIC into plug-ins. However, I am still confused as to exactly what to copy into the plug-ins folder. The contents of my unzipped GMIC archive are a file as well as three folders which contain files. I have tried copying the whole thing (the folder containing the 1 file and subfolders), and have also tried copying just the one file that appears to be the primary file (gmicgimpqt). But after restarting GIMP in both cases, I still cannot see gmic in the filters menu. GIMP2.10 folder does not contain a plug-ins folder. Should I just create one Also, when you say copy the contents of my archive, do you mean to copy the GMIC folder and its 3 subfolders Or should I also copy over the higher-up folder (GMIC-Gimp-2.10-osx) as well Continue this thread level 1 1 point 11 months ago Idk if you still need to know, but open GIMP 2.10 and select Preferences, Folders, Plugins then add the GMIC folder level 1 1 point 11 months ago What MacOS version are you using I tried installing GMIC on Catalina and when I open GIMP I just get this libX11.6.dylib is damaged and cant be opened. I actually gave up. I believe Ive updated to a newer (latest) version of GIMP since then, so it might be worth another try. But Ive also purchased Affinity Photo and have mostly been using that.
